Housing Arrangements

Student success is due to many factors, one of them being happy and comfortable living arrangements. We want all of our students to feel welcome, comfortable, content, and at home no matter which option they choose. We have different options for everyone, which means we have something to meet every student’s personal needs:

On-Campus Housing: Living on campus in a university dormitory can be a fun and enriching experience. Depending on the school, you may have the option for a single room or one with roommates, and you will live in a communal environment with all types of people.  Living on the campus means you will be close to your classes, will not have to drive or park to get to school, will save time and money, and will have access to all of the social events your university offers. It also means you will have access to all of your school’s amenities and resources like the health center, fitness center, counseling and advising services, library, clubs, organizations, and much more depending on the availability of your specific school. GSC can help you with the process of obtaining on-campus student housing, including assisting you with the necessary paperwork.

Host Family: Often times, students feel most comfortable in a home environment. Living with a host family can broaden your cultural experiences and expose you to new foods, customs, and language in a warm, friendly, and enriching household. Your host family will also be able to enjoy your culture in a mutual sharing environment. We know these are the building blocks to lifelong friendships, and you will enjoy the comfort and warmth of a family who is open and eager to share and grow with you. GSC will help you communicate with the coordinating broker and the host family and help with the paperwork necessary to move into your home away from home.

Off-Campus Housing and Roommate Matching: Some students may feel a little more comfortable in a more independent environment, like an apartment or a condominium. Maybe you’ve always wanted to live right in the middle of the excitement of the city and near nightlife, restaurants, and culture like museums and historical sites, or perhaps the quiet suburban life outside of the busy city is more your speed. Whether you want to live near campus without being on campus or you want to live in a specific neighborhood or area of the city, GSC can help you with the communication, leasing, and paperwork process. If you would like a roommate, we can also help you find another GSC student who will be a good fit for you!
