Description
Anatomy and Physiology is the study of the structure and function of the human body including: cells, tissues, and organs of the following systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and special senses. Emphasis is on interrelationships among systems &
regulations of physiological functions involved in maintaining
homeostasis. This course is intended to familiarize health
science majors with Anatomy, Morphology, and Physiology.
What Will I Learn ?
The students will learn and understand: -The application of the feedback loop on homeostasis -The plasma membrane transport and cellular communications -How to describe muscle structure and explain muscle function -How to describe the skeletal system structure and functions -How to explain the parts, functions, and steps involved in reflex arc -How to explain the functions of the central nervous system and how the brain communicate with the peripheral body organs.
